Publish VMware vSphere client with TMG 2010
0There are situations in small environments when you need to access your ESX/ESXi server from the internet, for troubleshooting or just to create or restart a virtual machine. I bet that’s a piece of cake for some of you, but what if you have a TMG server as a firewall. Well…things are not so easy any more, but they are not complicated either. If you have a situation like this, where a TMG 2010 server acts as a firewall for you or for some of your clients, and want to access an ESX/ESXi server from the internet, then you came to the right place. 0Hi there, me again. Just a couple of days before, I had to publish Exchange 2010 OWA for a client; than I thought, why not make a guide on this blog and show you the steps. And here it is. In this post I will show you how to securely publish Exchange 2010 OWA to the internet using Forefront TMG 2010. All the action takes place in a single forest/domain environment, one Exchange 2010 SP1 with all the roles, TMG server is joined to the domain, and certificates are going to be issued by an internal Enterprise CA. Publish secure (HTTPS) Web Site with TMG 2010
0OK, you are lucky, you have a TMG 2010 server as a firewall in your company. You now need to publish a web site, maybe your company web site, to the internet using SSL/TLS. In this guide I’m going to show you how to do it using an internal CA. I talked about internal Certification Authorities in this post, for more information. If the site you need to publish is not just for company employees, a commercial certificate is need (from Verisign, Comodo etc), or clients will get a certificate error. (more…)

Creating Access Rules with TMG 2010
0Ok, you just installed your TMG Server, but now non of your internal clients can access the internet or external resources. To fix this you need to create a so called Access Rule on you TMG server. For this demonstration I will create access rules so internal clients can connect to the internet. For this we need to grant access to HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and two rules will be created, one to allow HTTP/HTTPS traffic and the other one for DNS. (more…)
Publish HTTP Web site with TMG 2010
0A lot of times you might need to make your internal website available to the internet, so users can access it from different locations. With TMG 2010 this is possible, and believe me is piece of cake ’cause everything is wizard driven.
For this lab I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with TMG installed; everything is up to date. I have another server witch is the Web server at IP address 192.168.50.210. (more…)
